On Wednesday, 24th May 2023, we heard a range of tales based on the subject of “Dilemmas”.
We heard two stories involving personal dilemmas and a short poem composed by one of our members entitled “Mid Life Crisis”.
In an interesting, thought-provoking session we also listened to “The Dilemma”, “The King’s Dilemma”, “The Rabbit’s Dilemma” and “Bridget and the Wolf”.
And finally, we heard “Ricky Ticky Tick”, about an old woman who outwits some fearsome Clackmannanshire beasts!

On Wednesday, 10th May 2023, we heard a range of tales based on the subject of “May”.
We heard the story of the generosity of The Giving Tree, learned about the magical Milk White Cow and were captivated by The Piper of Glendevon.
Other tales shared were The Mayday Pairty, True Thomas (who could not tell a lie) and Maybe, about a taciturn farmer who could see that every misfortune could bring some good luck.
We also heard tell of some Mayday customs from Dorset, which were hilariously recounted to the group!
